“The paintings I create are a translation of my soul. I like to combine abstract with realism, sometimes surrealism to showcase how I feel in that moment or what’s going on around me. I don’t like to limit myself. The pieces that represent certain subjects are ever changing as I like to flow with what feels good.

I make art because I have always felt called to it. I feel like it’s my purpose; my path to healing. It’s what brings me back to myself. I paint intuitively. I usually don’t know what I’m going to make until I start and I like it that way. It’s easier not to think sometimes. But it’s in those moments without thought where, ironically, I have the most creativity. When I allow my intuition to take me places through my brush I feel like I can breathe. Art is how I am able to translate my thoughts. It’s what makes me feel saved.”
